An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Cycling Instructors with one of the UK’s leading providers of Bikeability on a term-time basis, to deliver the Bikeability Training course to young people aged between 4 - 12 years, in the Rugely, Cannock, Hednesford areas, starting November 2021.
The role offers £11.50 per hour and would most suit individuals from a teaching, supervisory or coaching background. Along with statutory annual leave pay, you will receive travel allowance, uniform and on-going training opportunities.
As a Cycling Instructor you will be responsible for:
Working with colleagues and young people aged between 4-12 years in primary and secondary schools, and during holiday courses.
Carrying out risk assessments.
Teaching cycle control skills off road and on road.
Riding on-road with young people.
Taking responsibility for the safety and well being of young people.
Collecting and returning course details to the main office.
The Cycling Instructor will have the following skills and experience:
Good adaptable communicational skills with the ability to build rapport with young people.
Be a good mentor/role model and be able to engage with learners at their level.
National Standard Instructor (NSI) qualification is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Previous experience in a teaching, training or an instructor’s role would be a distinct advantage.
Due to the nature of the role you must be over the age of 18 and hold a full clean UK driving licence.
You can discuss working between 2 minimum to 5 days maximum per week during term-time. Hours will be agreed on appointment.
Appointment will be subject to Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
