We provide an extensive programme of activities from balance bike and learn to ride courses to after school and holiday clubs and Bikeability training.

BALANCE BIKES
Fun and active sessions delivered in school over four weeks - designed for Reception or Year 1 to give children the confidence to cycle and control
their bike effectively.
Sessions focus on learning to fit a helmet, naming bike parts, braking and using gross motor skills to improve balance, agility and coordination.
The course caters for all abilities including pupils with no experience of riding a bike and those who can already ride.
LEARN TO RIDE
Single or multiple sessions to inspire children to master the skills of balance, control and pedaling. Whether trying for the first time or for older children needing more encouragement we provide fun and supportive steps to help
more people discover the joy of cycling on two wheels.
BIKE MAINTENANCE
Delivered by a Velo Tech Platinum Qualified led team. Preferably using student’s own bikes participants learn how to fix punctures, make brake adjustments and index gears.
Enabling young people to ride their bikes more often, more safely. Cycling is socially orientated, fun and is one of the easiest ways to fit exercising into a daily routine.
LOCAL RIDE / TRANSITION RIDE
CTL engages young people in route planning and a 2 hour led ride around their neighbourhood in low traffic or traffic free routes to familiarise participants with local cycling opportunities whist having active fun with their friends (routes pre ridden and risk assessed). Transition rides incorporate routes from primary to secondary schools.
PROVISION
As well as information and consent letters all cycling sessions include equipment such as Balance Bikes (with brake), Follow on Bikes (with brake), helmets, high viz, risk assessments, insurance, playground equipment, experienced National Standard (DBS Checked) instructors or qualified mechanics, lesson plans or
